The company board of directors appointed Ruebusch to succeed Ron Turcotte, who served as interim CEO, after an extensive search conducted in partnership with an executive search firm.
“Rick brings extensive industry experience in manufacturing, with a proven track record of improving operational efficiency and implementing growth initiatives,” said James J. Zenni, president and CEO of Z Capital. “With his insights and expertise, we will be able to capitalize on MSDP’s position as an industry leader in the automotive performance aftermarket and elevate the company to new heights. I look forward to working with Rick and the rest of the talented MSDP leadership team as the company enters its next phase of growth.”
Ruebusch previously served as president and CEO of Columbus Castings, the largest steel foundry in North America, according to MSDP. Prior to Columbus Castings, he served as president and CEO of Montana Silversmiths, a portfolio company of American Capital. Ruebusch from 2007 to 2010 also served as president of Dehydration and Filtration, a global unit of SPX Corp.
“I am excited to join MSDP at this pivotal time,” Ruebusch said. “The company has an industry-leading platform and established portfolio of innovative products, and now with Z Capital’s sponsorship, the company has the right tools and support system to strategically grow.”
