Drake Automotive Group Names New CEO

Jan 19, 2017

Keith Belair has joined Drake Automotive Group as its new president and CEO. Belair fills the vacancy created when Bob Fisher retired as planned in 2016.

Belair joins the Drake Automotive Group after spending eight years at Shelby American where he helped guide that company’s growth and expansion in various roles, most recently as COO.  He gained valuable experience prior to working at Shelby American by working with several companies and private equity groups focused on growth through acquisitions.

As CEO, Belair will provide strategic direction to the Drake executive team and oversee the day-to-day operations. He will also be actively engaged in seeking future acquisitions.

“We’re very excited to have Keith join the Drake Automotive Group team as its leader,” said John Higgins, senior partner with Huron Capital Partners. “His valuable understanding of the SEMA market and experience growing businesses is a good fit with our ambitious growth plans that we expect to include both organic expansion and acquisitions.”

Drake Automotive Group has been a trusted name in the classic Mustang restoration market since it was founded in 1988, according to the company. Using the experience gained in the classic Ford market, the company also produces a growing offering of quality parts for late-model Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, and Jeeps.
