Midway Industries Inc., a manufacturer of high-performance clutches and flywheels under the brand Centerforce, has retained Ventura, Calif.-based Kahn Media Inc. as its agency of record.

Kahn Media will be charged with public relations, media outreach, strategic communications and social media marketing to help the Prescott, Ariz.-based performance clutch and flywheel manufacturer promote its drivetrain products, according to a press release.

“Centerforce has been leading the clutch and flywheel industry for over 30 years and has garnered a reputation as the most technologically advanced driveline components available,” said Bryan Wilson, general manager. “With Kahn Media’s help, we will now be able to better tell the story of how and why our products are industry leaders, creating a more educated and informed consumer.”

Centerforce first made headlines in the early 1980s when legendary hot rodder Bill Hays patented the Centerforce Weighted Clutch System. Since then, Centerforce has continued its trend for innovation and has developed many different patents pertaining to automotive performance clutches, the release noted.

“We are beyond excited to work with a brand as well-regarded as Centerforce,” said Dan Kahn, Kahn Media president. “Centerforce started out as a small company here in California in 1982 with roots in clutch development dating back into the ’50s with founder Bill Hays. Centerforce has quickly grown to become one of the top companies in the automotive aftermarket. Having Centerforce added to our roster is a great honor and we are excited to begin this new partnership.”
