Carroll Shelby International and the Carroll Shelby Foundation will host the fourth annual Carroll Shelby Tribute and Car Show on May, 21, at the organization’s headquarters in Gardena, California. The event will celebrate Carroll Shelby’s life and legacy by showcasing the Shelby Hertz Rent-A-Racers, the Shelby G.T.350 and the Ford GT. A tribute to Shelby’s fun-loving lifestyle will include a Terlingua-inspired chili bar with Shelby craft beer.

“The Shelby Hertz cars, Ford GT and Shelby G.T.350 earned legendary reputations globally,” said Joe Conway, co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International, CEO of Shelby American, co-trustee of the Carroll Hall Shelby Trust and board member of the Carroll Shelby Foundation. “Our salute to these vehicles will celebrate Shelby’s deep involvement and impact on Ford history. Shelby changed the way American automotive performance was viewed by the world, which is why our cars are still so desirable today.”

Gates open to the public free-of-charge at 9 a.m. PDT; while free admission walk-ins are welcome. A $10 donation to the foundation includes a special souvenir show decal, according to Shelby American. All Shelby and Ford performance car owners interested in displaying their vehicles at the show can register on the Carroll Shelby Tribute website for a $40 donation.

“Carroll’s legacy will be celebrated with exciting cars and the enthusiasts who love them,” said Neil Cummings, co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International, CEO of Carroll Shelby Licensing, co-trustee of the Carroll Hall Shelby Trust and board member of the Carroll Shelby Foundation. “Each year, we gather to pay tribute to this great automotive legacy. From the cars to the camaraderie and memories of Carroll, it is a wonderful place for Shelby enthusiasts to gather.”

Attendees will feast their eyes on some of the rarest Shelby and Ford cars from the past five decades. Shelby American will display its latest lineup of performance vehicles including the all-new Shelby Terlingua and Shelby Super Snake.

Enthusiasts across the globe are invited and encouraged to join the Rev Your Engine salute to uniquely honor the life and legacy of Carroll Shelby at 1 p.m. PDT.

With the recent loss of Carroll Shelby’s nine-year-old great grandson, Lloyd Randall Shelby, the foundation will make a special presentation in his honor at the event. Lloyd was a huge fan of both his great grandfather and the Shelby cars he created.

“We were deeply saddened by the loss of Carroll’s great grandson Lloyd Shelby,” said Jenni Shreeves, executive director of the Carroll Shelby Foundation. “It was truly a tragedy. As a double organ transplant recipient, Carroll founded the charity to help children who needed a transplant. Lloyd’s parents donated their son’s organs in an effort to help others. I know that Carroll would have appreciated their decision. The Shelby family has also chosen to celebrate the lives of both Lloyd and Carroll by helping the Foundation support young people in the race for life.”
