Bestop Offers Powered Running Boards for New GMC Pickups

Jul 30, 2013

Broomfield, Colo.-based Bestop is offering powered running boards for 2014 Chevrolet/GMC Silverado/Sierra pickups.

Bestop’s new PowerBoard NX uses wireless triggers on the doors. Any wired system that requires connection to the truck wiring harness for new GM trucks usually requires the removal and reinstallation of all four door panels. Since installation of the PowerBoard NX does not require tapping into the factory wiring inside the cab, installation time and effort is reduced.

“Factory wiring just keeps getting more complicated, with all the interconnected systems and computers,” said Jim Chick, director of sales at Bestop. “So there’s more room for error if you’re tapping into those systems, plus the chance for conflict with alarms or other systems.”

PowerBoard NX from Bestop is now available for 2014 GM C1500 and K1500 half-ton pickups.
