Banks Power, Azusa, Calif., has announced that its iQ tuning device won three Global Media Awards at last month’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Twenty-eight media professionals representing 16 countries took part in judging more than 2,000 new and innovative products at this year’s show. The Banks iQ/Six-Gun Tuner combination brought home three of the crystal awards, according to a press release.

“Obviously, Banks Power was very pleased to be so honored by members of the global media contingent. The SEMA Show is the place where groundbreaking new products like the Banks iQ are celebrated and subsequently put before the public by hundreds of dedicated automotive journalists, both from home and abroad,” the company said in a statement.

The SEMA Global Media Awards Program recognizes that automotive personalization and customization is growing throughout the world. While the industry has strong roots in the U.S., the appeal of making cars and trucks fit one’s lifestyle is universal and growing, the company noted.

Banks Power designs, manufactures and distributes complete high-performance engine and braking systems for both diesel- and gasoline-powered light trucks, SUVs and motor homes.
