Auto interiors conference to address future trends

Apr 10, 2013

The annual WardsAuto Interiors Conference is set for 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 22 at the Henry Hotel in Dearborn, Mich.

The event focused on automotive interiors gives industry professionals the opportunity to view the latest products and services from exhibiting auto interior suppliers, network with colleagues and attend eight panel discussions with speakers from OEMs and top suppliers.

Panel discussions will focus on vital topics such as connectivity, the Human Machine Interface (HMI), lighting, materials and luxury. Johann Jungwirth, president and CEO of research and development for Mercedes-Benz, and Amko Leenarts, director of global interior design strategy for Ford, will be keynote speakers at the conference.

In addition, awards will be announced for the student design competition and Ward’s 10 Best Interiors honors. The  winning vehicles will be displayed in the conference ballroom.

Ward’s Automotive Group purchased the former Auto Interiors Show in 2005. A new format was adopted in 2009 when the WardsAuto Interiors Conference moved to the Ritz Carlton, which later became the Henry Hotel.
