Beverly Hills Car Club has launched the eBay sale of an original 1983 Ferrari 400i once owned by tennis icon John McEnroe. The collectible classic went on sale Oct. 10 and remains on eBay until Oct. 20, according to the club. The current highest bid among the 16 entered so far stands at $21,522 and continues to steadlily rise, though it’s below the sellers’ reserve price.

The black car with tan interior has an “ideal color combination for almost any car, let alone a classic Ferrari,” according to Beverly Hills Car Club. The Ferrari comes with an automatic transmission and 50,477 original miles.

“We get offered cars from many celebrities, but it’s not often that we get a Ferrari from one of the world’s greatest living tennis legends of all time, John McEnroe. He was a force to be reckoned with and so is the Ferrari,” said Alex Manos, founder of the Beverly Hills Car Club.

McEnroe was at the top of his game in 1983, earning his fourth Wimbledon title by defeating Ivan Lendl in the Wimbledon semifinals. He won the title after defeating New Zealand’s Chris Lewis. McEnroe soon rewarded himself with this classic 1983 Ferrari, according to the Beverly Hills Car Club.
