Johnny Anasani accepted the top award from an international press jury that recognized his company’s innovative new product at the November 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. For the sixth consecutive year, dozens of judges from more than 20 countries assessed more than 1,000 new products for innovative design and international appeal.
Ansani Designs of Tempe, Ariz., won the Global Media Award for its Jeep JK Induction Hood. Inspired by the late-model pony cars, the company created a composite hood that looks custom but also improves engine cooling by increasing underhood airflow.
“Our first hood came out of the mold a couple daysbefore the show,” said Ansani, company CEO. “It was an unexpected honor to win a Global Media Award at only our second SEMA show.” The JK Induction Hood was selected by Jean-Luc Berne of the French magazine Action 4×4.
