American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is celebrating its 20th anniversary with an open house at its recently completed 120,000 square-foot Michigan headquarters from 3 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 18. The party also will feature giveaways, Bigalora pizza and beverages from Arbor Brewing Co. and Baia Estate.
Founded in a Montana barn as part of a school business project, AEV has grown into one of the a well-respected overlanding brand, according to the company that now encompasses 207,000 square feet of space between two buildings in the greater Detroit area, and an R&D facility in Montana.
AEV milestones, according to the company, include the first production extended-wheelbase Jeep Wrangler (1998) and the Brute pickup, an inspiration for the upcoming factory Wrangler pickup.
