Oct 7, 2011

Participants at the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association’s Executive Breakfast during AAPEX can earn CEU credits through the University of the Aftermarket.– The event takes place from 7 a.m.- 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1 in Ballrooms G-I at The Venetian, Las Vegas.

Attendees can earn 0.1 CEUs.

“We are pleased to partner again this year with the University of the Aftermarket to offer these credits, which attendees can apply toward their automotive aftermarket professional or master automotive aftermarket professional standing,” said Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA. The AASA Executive Breakfast, ‘Under the Hood: How Private Equity Is Changing the Automotive Aftermarket,” will feature moderator Tony Cristello, senior vice president at BB&T Capital Markets Equity Research, in a panel discussion with representatives of top private equity firms.

“Private equity is attracted to the automotive aftermarket because the industry was a stellar performer during the economic downturn compared to other industries — both automotive and other retail/consumer sectors,” Handschuh said. “The AASA Executive Breakfast will open a dialogue between the leaders of the automotive aftermarket and top private equity firms active in the aftermarket.”

More than 600 attendees are expected at this year’s breakfast event during AAPEX. The audience will include executives from top North American automotive aftermarket suppliers and management teams from the leading aftermarket resellers and distributors.
