Automotive Accessories Marketing (AAM) Group has created a web page for individuals to leave thoughts and memories for the family of Ed Coates, who passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 17, according to AAM Group.
Coates founded Lordco Parts, a distributor and retailer of automotive parts and accessories based in British Columbia, Canada. Lordco and Coates, who served as an AAM board member from 2008-2014, were significant contributors to AAM. He was recipient of the first Member of the Year award in 2011, according to AAM Group.
“Ed touched so many people at a personal level,” said Tim Odom, president of AAM Group, in statement. “He had 1,500 employees, and he took great pride that he knew them all by name (and most of their spouses and many of their children). He personally knew his customers, literally taking thousands of them on trips over the years and spending time with them at exotic locations all over the world.”
To share thoughts or memories for the Coates family, visit http://www.theaamgroup.com/ed-coates/. AAM will collect all contributions to the web page and assemble a book later this year to give to the Coates family.
Piney Flats, Tenn.-based AAM Group offers three marketing programs that offer marketing services and purchase support for warehouse distributors and retailers in the performance parts and automotive accessory aftermarket.
