Jason Graham, of Jason Graham Hotrods, Portland, Tenn., earned the 2014 Golden Builder Award at the 16th annual Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show, held March 26-28 in Indianapolis.
The car is a heavily customized 1939 Chevy Custom Coupe, and is owned by Harley Tucker of Morgantown, Ky.
Features of the car include its 5-inch chop and conversion to a three-window, a modified 1960 Impala dash and distressed maroon leather seats.
The custom mixed DuPont “smoke” paint job and pinstriping were done by Dick Harris.
Power is delivered to the wheels by a 348 Chevy with six “super” 93s on top, and a 700R overdrive transmission, on full air ride suspension.
Graham earned the 2014 Golden Builder Award, announced by Ray Evernham.
