Spend this spring weekend showing off your latest projects, meeting new customers and supporting local organizations at a car show. Shows being held this weekend include the Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral and the NSRA Western Street Rod Nationals Plus. The Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral takes place Wednesday, April 24- Sunday, April 28 at the Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Fairgrounds. The event features a collector and classic car swap meet, car corral and auction. Thousands of automotive enthusiasts are expected to attend the rain-or-shine event, which will also include over 8,000 vendor spaces, and 2,000 vehicles for sale. Gate times are as follows: Wednesday through Saturday: 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday: 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults ($5 on Sunday), and free to children 12 and under. The 2013 Bama Coast Cruise will be held Thursday, April 25-Saturday, April 27 at the Wharf Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama. The cruise will be held in conjunction with the Wharf Boat & Yacht Show, and will feature raffles, a swap meet, a car show, a poker run, parade cruise, live music and more. The NSRA Western Street Rod Nationals Plus takes place Friday, April 26-Sunday, April 28 at the Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield, California. Event highlights will include a Ladies Tea/Women’s World area, live entertainment, a large display of street rods and classic cars, NSRA safety inspections, food vendors, shopping and a variety of drawings. The car show is open to vehicles 30 years old or older. The cost to attend the event is $14 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free to children 5 and under. Factory Five Racing will host its 6th Annual Huntington Beach Cruise-In on Saturday, April 27 at the Huntington Beach Pier Plaza in Huntington Beach, California. The event, which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature a car show with awards, live music from the Nomads surf band and the Factory Five Big Rig Road Show. According to event organizers, this is the largest kit car event on the West Coast, with 150-200 Factory Five cars and 5,000-8,000 spectators expected to attend. The Big Barn Classic Car Show takes place on Saturday, April 27 at the Motte Historical Museum in Menifee, California. The car show is open to all pre-1980 hot rods and classic cars. Trophies will be given for the Top 3 cars in each class. The event will include a DJ, live entertainment, food, vendors and a display of the historic Motte family collection of classic cars. Classic Motorcar Auctions will host its 2nd Annual Novi Metro Detroit Spring Classic Car Auction, Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 at The Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. The all-indoor auction will offer more than 200 vehicles of every make and model, in nearly every collector’s price range, according to event organizers. Barrett-Jackson auctioneer Joseph Mast will lead the live auction, which will also include an auction of rare and interesting automotive memorabilia and Petrolinia, including neon signs, toys, models and other collectibles. The event will also include family-friendly activities, food and vendors. The auction will run from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on both days, with the memorabilia auction scheduled to start at 10 a.m., and the auto auction starting at 11 a.m. The cost of admission will be $10 per day for adults (or $15 for both days), and free for children under 12. The Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show takes place Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 at the Half Moon Bay Airport in Half Moon Bay, California. The show will feature a unique display of vehicles of every style and era, including Model T fire engines, vintage buses, custom motorcycles, supersonic World Land Speed Record streamliners, SWAT vehicles, antique engines, historic military aircrafts and more. Hundreds of aircrafts will also be on display including 1940s-1950s vintage war birds. The event will feature flyovers by historic military aircrafts, as well as a bungee jump, climbing wall, carnival rides, activities for kids, a remote-controlled NASCAR race track, food and beverages and live music. Admission to the show is $20 for adults (or $30 for a two-day pass), $10 for children ages 11-17 and seniors ages 65 and over ($15 for a two-day pass), and free for kids 10 and under.
