Weekend Car Shows & Events Roundup

Take your latest projects out for a spin at one of the many car shows and cruises taking place this weekend. Events this weekend include the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance and the Parts Plus AutoRama. Information on these and five additional shows is listed below.

Carlisle Events will present the Zephyrhills 38th Annual Winter Auto & Antique Auto Fest Auction & Swap Meet from Thursday, February 21- Sunday February 24 at Festival Park in Zephyrhills, Florida. Featuring a collector and classic car swap meet, car corral and auction, the family-friendly event will see hundreds of cars crossing the auction block, in categories such as muscle cars, luxury, exotic, classic, racecars, motorcycles and specialty trucks. The 7th annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance will take place Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida.  The event will include an automobile and automobilia auction in which attendees will have the opportunity to bid on unique cars and collectables with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Friday’s events will include the auction preview, an automobile art show, a seminar about the past and future of the collector car market, and the DuPont Registry Live Hangar Party at the Boca Raton Airport. Saturday will include the auction, a gala dinner, and a car show featuring 200 collector cars and motorcycles. The Automotive Lifetime Achievement Award and Lee Iacocca Award will also be presented at Saturday’s gala, in addition to a performance by comic Bob Newhart. The 47th Annual Auto Value World of Wheels takes place Friday, February 22- Sunday, February 24 at the BMO Centre Calgary Stampede Part in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Presented by Investment Vehicle Restorations, the event will include a display of street rods, as well as a display of traditional rods, customs and bobbers. Other events will include the “Battle of the Techs” Engine Building Competition, Monster Truck car crush demonstrations, a pinup girl competition on Saturday at 8 p.m., and car care demonstrations by Meguiar’s throughout the weekend. The 39th Annual Parts Plus AutoRama takes place this weekend at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy, Utah. The event will feature a pinstripe charity auction, a pinup contest on Friday night, BMX stunt shows, a “School of Fish” exhibit featuring Marlins and Barracudas, the “Cavalcade of Customs” exhibit featuring 1950s custom cars, a Salt Flats exhibit and “Beetlemana,” which will feature Volkswagen Beetles. The Harley-Davidson of SLC & Great Salt Lake Hog Chapter will present the All-American Cycle Show at the event, which is a  special competition for modified, customized and restored motorcycles. The 42nd Annual Rod & Custom Show takes place Saturday, February 23 and Sunday February 24 at the Monticello Berndes Center in Monticello, Iowa. Event highlights will include an appearance by Catherine Bach, who played Daisy Duke on the “Dukes of Hazzard” television show, a model car contest, artists, a DJ and more. The 2nd Annual Whittier Area Classic Car Show takes place Saturday, February 23 at Whittier Area Community Church in Whittier, California. The car show is open to all makes and models of American, foreign and classic and collector cars from 1976 or earlier. Trophies will be given for Best of Show, Best Chevy, Best Ford, Best Mopar, Best Truck, Best Muscle Car, Best Daily Driver, Best Flames, Best Engine, Best Under Construction and more. The event will include vendors, food truck, live bands, a trophy presentation and an appearance by the Batmobile. Proceeds from the show will go to fund community projects in the Whittier area. The 8th Annual Hawks Benefit Car Show takes place Saturday, February 23 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Seminole Ridge Community High School in Loxahatchee, Florida. The event, which is co-sponsored by SouthEast Rods & Customs Car Club, will include the car show that’s open to all makes and models, a barbeque, a bounce house, car hops, arts and crafts vendors, live music and family activities.
