Spend this autumn weekend showing off your latest creation at one of the many car shows and events taking place, including Goodguys’ 15th Southwest Nationals and the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals. Mecum hosts its Anaheim, CA Auction Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The auction will feature 750 collector cars up for bid, including the 1932 Ford McMullen Roadster, a 1933 Auburn Salon Twelve Boattail Speedster, a 1969 Chevy Corvette L88 convertible and a 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge convertible. Goodguys presents the 15th Southwest Nationals Friday, Saturday and Sunday at WestWorld of Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event will feature more than 2,500 rods, customs, classics and muscle cars through 1972 competing for awards including the Judy Murray Memorial Award and the 2013 Muscle Car of the Year Finalist. Also on display will be the Terrific 12, winners of the Goodguys top awards including America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod and the Kustom of the Year. The 40th Annual Leake Collector Car Show and Auction takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Market Hall in Dallas. The auction will feature 550 collector cars, trucks and motorcycles, including a 1947 Buick Roadmaster, a 1969 Ford Falcon, a 1964 Chevy Impala and a 1979 Chevy Camaro Z28. McCormick’s Palm Springs Collector Auctions hosts Auction 53 Friday, Saturday and Sunday at The Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs, California. Over 500 collector cars will be up for bid at the auction, including a 1952 Studebaker Starlight, a 1959 Plymouth Sport Fury, a 1960 Chrysler New Yorker and a 1981 DMC DeLorean replica time machine. The Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The event will feature more than 500 muscle cars and Corvettes on display. The 40th anniversary of the “Class of ’72” will be celebrated at the event. The 24th Annual San Jose Classic Chevy Club Toy/Food Drive Car Show takes place Saturday at the Cathedral of Faith Church in San Jose, California. The rain-or-shine show is open to all vehicle makes, models and years. The entrance fee for each vehicle is a new toy and non-perishable food item that will be donated to local charities. The 30th Annual Los Magnificos Car Show & Concert takes place Saturday at the Reliant Center in Houston.
