From Model A’s to woodies, a wide variety of classic cars and trucks will stand in the spotlight this weekend at car shows and events being held across the country. Events taking place include the NSRA Street Rod Nationals North Plus, 7th Annual Redneck Rumble and Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance. The 19th Annual Corvette Funfest takes place Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Effingham, Illinois. Presented by Mid America Motorworks, the event will feature awards presentations, road tours, seminars, vendors, a swap meet, a Corvettes for Sale Corral, a pinewood derby, a screening of “Cars 2,” raffles, giveaways, concessions and live entertainment. The 23rd Annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous takes place Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in San Bernardino, California. The event will showcase 1,700 cars, trucks and motorcycles through 1975. The Wavecrest Woodie Meet takes place Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Encinitas, California. A gathering of hot rods and woodies kicks off Wavecrest Thursday. NSRA presents the Street Rod Nationals North Plus Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The event will attract 2,500 street rods, customs, muscle cars and street machines. It will also feature manufacturer and dealer displays, a swap meet, and other attractions. The Glemoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday in at the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio. The event kicks off Friday with a silent auction, seminars and a welcome party. The Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance takes place Sunday at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The event will feature more than 200 classic American and European autos and motorcycles displayed in 21 classes. This year’s classes include American Classics – Open, American Classics – Closed, Ford Model A, Pre-War Chevrolet, American Fins, Pony Cars and American Muscle.
