The 2012 Holley LS Fest takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event is open to any LS-powered vehicle. The event will feature activities including autocross, a countryside cruise, drag racing, drifting, a dyno challenge, an engine swap challenge, a show-and-shine and a speed stop challenge. The 13th Annual Cruisin’ the Pines Car Show takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, California. The event is open to 1972-and-older American-made classic vehicles. The event will also feature model car gravity drags, NSRA inspections, a poker run, a car corral, vendors, concessions, an art show, entertainment and a 9/11 anniversary tribute. Shades of the Past takes place Friday and Saturday at Dollywood’s Splash Country in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The event is open to rods, customs and classics through 1972 and awards will be presented. The 21st Annual Cruisin’ by the Bay takes place Friday and Saturday in Sandusky, Ohio. The event will feature cruises, a judged car show, a 50/50 drawing, raffles and a DJ. The Defeat of Jesse James Days Car Show takes place Saturday in Northfield, Minnesota. Vehicles will be judged in 29 classes and trophies will be presented for first, second and third place in each class. The car show is part of the annual five-day festival marking the defeat of the James Gang. The festival also features activities and events including an antique tractor pull, craft show, live entertainment, a parade, a bike tour, a soapbox derby, a rodeo, dances and a tractor pull. The Triangle Rod & Classic Car Show takes place Saturday at the Morrisville Outlet Mall in Morrisville, North Carolina. The top 100 show is open to all years, makes and models of cars, trucks, rat rods and motorcycles. Judging will be based on the cleanness of the exterior, interior, engine compartment, trunk compartment and wheelhouses.
