Weekend Car Shows & Events Roundup

Usher in August at one of the many car shows and events being held around the country this weekend that will give you the opportunity to show off your latest creations, connect with new customers and support local causes. Events being held this weekend include the 18th NSRA Street Rod Nationals Plus and Carlisle Truck Nationals. Information on these and seven additional shows is listed below. The 18th NSRA Street Rod Nationals Plus takes place Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The event will feature over 11,000 street rods, muscle cars and vintage automobiles. The event will also include manufacturer and dealer displays. For more information, visit www.nsra-usa.com.

The 42nd Yellowstone Rod Run takes place Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in West Yellowstone, Montana. The event will feature cruises, parades, a show-and-shine, poker runs and trophy presentations. The event will also include concessions, entertainment, raffles and music. The Carlisle Truck Nationals takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The event will feature over 2,000 lowered mini trucks, lifted 4x4s, chromed-out big rigs, SUVs, custom vans and perfectly restored classics competing for a variety of awards. The 11th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Nationals takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event will feature drag racing, car shows, a manufacturers’ midway, a swap meet and a burnout contest. For more information, visit www.nmcadigital.com.

The Ames Performance Tri Power Pontiac Nationals takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. The event will featuring car shows, drag racing and a swap meet. For more information, visit www.pontiacnationals.com.

The 4th Annual Back to Old School Car Show takes place Friday and Saturday at the Colorado Springs Event Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event will feature an indoor/outdoor car show with over 300 custom vehicles competing in five trophy-winning categories: American Hot Rods, Foreign Street Racers, Trucks, Low Riders and Motorcycles. The Mustang Roundup all-“Mustang car show takes place Saturday at the Manawa Masonic Center in Manawa, Wisconsin. All Mustang years and models are welcome, and trophies will be presented in the following classes: 1964.5-1966 Classic Mustangs, 1967-1968 Classic Mustangs, 1969-1970 Classic Mustangs, 1971-1973 Classic Mustangs, 1974-1978 Mustang II, 1979-1986 Four Eyed Fox, 1987-1993 Fox Body, 1994-1998 SN95, 1999-2004 S197, 2005-2009 5th Generation, 2010-2012 5th Generation, 2013 5th Generation, Any Year Customized and Any Year Best of Show. The event will also feature vendors and live music. Canned, bottled and dry food donations will be accepted for the local food pantry. A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday. The 32nd Annual Red Barns Spectacular takes place Saturday at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The event will feature antique, classic and special interest car shows, swap meets, a car corral, concessions, vendors, antiques, a swap meet, antique car rides, and a special display of antique boats and campers. The 4th Annual CAM Car Cruise takes place Saturday in Sacramento, California.
