Weekend Car Shows & Events Roundup

Grab a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and plenty of water, then brave the heat this weekend at a car show, where your latest builds can compete for awards and you can connect with new customers. Shows being held this weekend include the 31st Annual National Corvette Homecoming and Syracuse Nationals. Information on these and eight additional shows is listed below. California Car Cover launches its series of Summer Cruise Nights Wednesday in Chatsworth, California. The cruise is open to all makes and models of classic cars, muscle cars and hot rods. The 31st Annual National Corvette Homecoming takes place Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event will feature tours of local manufacturers, an auction, a road tour, a judged car show, parties and a seminar covering the 2013 427 convertible. The 11th Annual Blue Suede Cruise takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. The event features a car show, fun runs, vendors, exhibits, a swap meet, car corral, fireworks show and concert. The National Packard Museum hosts the Packards Abroad antique and classic car show Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Warren, Ohio. The event will honor Packard’s evolution from a small shop in Warren to the world’s leading manufacturer of luxury automobiles, according to the museum, ad will feature several vehicles that were built for export. The Syracuse Nationals takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. The 2nd Annual Summer Madness Bike & Hot Rod Show takes place Saturday at Hwy. 66 Choppers in Montclair, California. As part of its 34th Annual Founder’s Day celebration, the city of Paris, Maine, will host a classic car exhibit Saturday. The exhibit will feature more than 60 vehicles from the private collection of Robert and Sandra Bahre, which includes Packards, Duesenbergs, a Tucker and vintage race cars. The Avila Motoring Invitational takes place Saturday in Avila Beach, California.
