Weekend Car Shows & Events Roundup

A number of car shows and events are being held the first weekend in February that offer shops the chance to display their latest projects, connect with new customers and support local charities, including Cars for the Cure and the Rotary CARE Car Show. The 8th Annual “Cars for the Cure” Heathrow automotive festival takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Colonial Town Park in Lake Mary, Florida. The event kicks off Friday with a VIP reception. The all-day auto show takes place Saturday and will feature American and international customs, European exotics, racers, muscle cars and custom bikes. The Sunday Drive begins Sunday morning and will cruise along Central Florida highways. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Lung Association in Florida. The 13th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Autofest takes place Saturday and Sunday E*Plex – Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri. The indoor show will feature street rods, muscle cars, motorcycles, 4x4s and imports. Awards will be presented for the Top 30 picks, Best Club Display and Grand Champions. The 14th Annual Quartzsite Rock and Roll Classic Car Show takes place Saturday and Sunday in Quartzsite, Arizona. The event will feature hot rods and classic cars displayed in a 70,000-square-foot facility. The 13th Annual Hobby, Craft & Gem Show is being held in conjunction with the car show. The 9th Rotary CARE Car Show takes place Saturday in San Juan Capistrano, California. The show will feature antique and classic cars and trucks, and a motorcycle poker run. The show will also include trophy presentations, live entertainment, vendors and concessions. Proceeds will benefit the Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort and the Rotary Club of San Juan Capistrano, and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. The 8th Annual Car & Truck Show takes place Saturday in Naples, Florida. The event will feature over 400 vehicles competing for more than 170 trophies. The show will also include a food court and DJ. Attendees are asked to bring canned food items to donate to St. Matthew’s House. Proceeds will benefit Shriners Children’s Hospitals’ Transportation Fund. The 3rd Annual Chancellor’s Gala Dancing With the Cars takes place Saturday at the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum in Fairbanks, Alaska. The event will feature antique autos, a live auction, live music, a dance performance and food. Attendees are asked to dress in vintage party attire from the 1920s-1950s. Proceeds will benefit the UAF Center for Alaska Native Health Research student scholarships and Fairbanks Memorial Hospital’s J. Michael Carroll Cancer Center. The 11th Annual Downtown Classic Car Show takes place Saturday in Miami. The event is open to 1987 or older originals, restoreds, modifieds, customs and hot rods, and all year Corvettes, Mustangs, exotics and motorcycles. Trophies will be awarded. The Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association (PSCA) Cruise Night takes place Saturday at the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs California. The Webster Westside Auto & Cycle Swap Meet & Show takes place Sunday in Webster, Florida.
