This weekend, a number of car clubs and businesses around the country are hosting car shows and events that give retailers the opportunity to show off builds, connect with new customers and support community organizations that are helping out the less fortunate during the holidays. The American Muscle Showdown takes place Saturday and Sunday in San Diego, California. All American-made cars, trucks, SUVs and motorcycles of any year or make are welcome. The indoor/outdoor event will include live music, a fashion show, 60-second freestyle, over 300 vendors, a bikini contest, a cruise route, a burnout contest and many more attractions. The ROUSH Performance Garage Sale takes place Saturday and Sunday in Livonia, Michigan. The event provides the opportunity to find deals on overstock and discontinued ROUSH items, as well as some unique bits and pieces pulled from the engineering and marketing departments. The sale will be held in the former vehicle assembly area of ROUSH Building 50. Items are limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The 5thAnnual Christmas-4-Kidz Cruise-In/Car Show takes place Saturday in Columbus, Georgia. Prizes will be awarded to the top 50 vehicles. The show, which is hosted by the Columbus City Stangz car club, will also feature a 50/50 drawing, goodie bags, music and food. All proceeds will benefit The Children’s Miracle Network, a non-profit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals. The Jacked-Up for a Cause & High Altitude Show N Shine takes place Saturday in North Lakeland, Florida. All vehicles are welcome at the event at which trophies will be presented. The show, hosted by the High Altitude Truck Club, will also feature a sound competition, DJ and raffles. Toys will be collected at the show for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and discounted admission is offered to anyone who brings a toy. The Mooneyes X-Mas Party Show & Drag takes place Saturday in Irwindale, California. The event will feature 1/8-mile drags for pre-1969 vehicles, and a car and bike show. The Mustang Run -“ Toys for Tots cruise takes place Saturday in Greenville County, South Carolina. All generations of Mustangs are welcomed to take part in the police-escorted ride with a final stop made for each Mustang to donate a toy to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. Participants are asked to meet no later than 11 a.m. at the Westside Baptist Church in Simpsonville. The ride will conclude at 12:30 p.m. at the Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant in Greenville. The South Bay Showdown Mustang and Ford car show takes place Sunday in Hawthorne, California. Hosted by the Beach Cities Mustang Club, the event is expected to draw over 150 vehicles, and will feature raffles, live auctions, music, vendors and food.
