Celebrate the very coolest rods, kustoms and muscle cars this weekend at car shows including the Lone Star Nationals and Long Beach Motorama. Here’s information on those and eight additional shows and events. More will be posted on Hotrod & Restoration‘s Twitter throughout the week.

Goodguys presents the 19th Lone Star Nationals Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. The event will feature over 1,500 rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trucks through 1972 competing for awards including 2011 Muscle Car of the Year Finalist and the Davis’ Builder’s Choice Awards. The Lone Star Nationals will also feature a track cruise, Goodguys Autocross, vendor and manufacturer exhibits, a swap meet, a cars-for-sale corral, and a model car and pedal car show. The Long Beach Motorama takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California. The event is open to all American-made pre-1969 vehicles, and will highlight notable customs, rods and motorcycles. The event will feature a recreation of the Lions Drag Strip, the facade of Barris Kustom City and store front of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth‘s shop, all of which will house vehicles and memorabilia. Numerous trophies will be presented, including the new Diamond Cup Championship, a perpetual-based trophy specifically created for the coach-built-minded builder and owner, and the Legend of Motorsports Special Recognition award, which honors those individuals that have spent 30 years or more of their lives fostering this sport. The 4th Annual Downtown Hutchinson Rod Run & Classic Car Show takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Hutchinson, Kansas. Sacramento Vintage Ford is hosting the latest in its 13th annual season of Vintage Fridaysthis Friday in Sacramento, California. The event is open to all pre-1973 American-made cars and trucks. The event will feature door prizes, games, contests, music and concessions. Proceeds will benefit the Sacramento & Northeastern California Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. ididit inc. is hosting its 25th Anniversary Car Show & Open House Saturday in Tecumseh, Michigan. The car show is open to all 1979-and-older vehicles, and custom ididit trophies will be presented to winning vehicles in seven categories. Free NSRA safety inspections will be offered. The shop classes at El Camino Fundamental High School in Sacramento, California, are hosting a car show Saturday in the parking lot alongside room S-9. Proceeds from the event, which is open to all years and models of cars and motorcycles, will help the classes pay for needed tools and materials. The Just Eliminate Suicide Classic Car Show takes place Saturday in Pomona, California. Awards will be presented at this event, which will also feature live music, food, raffle prizes, a sandwich-eating contest, merchandise and community resource booths. The 3rd Annual Madison Street Festival Charity Car Show takes place Saturday in Madison, Alabama. The event is open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles. Trophies will be awarded for Mayor’s Choice, Police Chief’s Choice, Fire Chief’s Choice, Festival Committee Choice, Participant’s Choice and Kids Pick. The show, which is part of the annual Madison Street Festival, will include games, door prizes, a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing and concessions. The 3rd Annual Surf City Garage Car Show takes place Sunday in Huntington Beach, California.
