Goodguys presents the 20th East Coast Nationals Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, New York. Over 1,500 rods, customs, classics and muscle cars through model year 1972 will be competing for awards in categories including 2011 Muscle Car of the Year Finalist, 2011 Kustom Car of the Year Finalist, Gazette Pick and Classic Trucks Finest 5. NSRA hosts the Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals Plus Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo, Colorado. The GM Nationals take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The 33rd Annual Apple Run takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Confluence Park in Wenatchee, Washington. Cars and trucks built before 1975 are eligible to enter the show-and-shine. Automotive-related door prizes will be given away at the show, including a Chevy 350 V-8 engine, transmissions and a set of wheels. All proceeds will benefit Central Washington Hospital. Olympia Village Campground presents its 2nd Annual 50’s & 60’s Car & Bike Show for Breast Cancer Saturday in Waterdown, Ontario, Canada. The Luggage of Love Car & Bike Show takes place Saturday at The Palms in Oxnard, California. The event will include the addition of a jalopy category with an award to be presented in honor of local automotive icon “Jalopy Joe” Moody. Proceeds will benefit Luggage of Love, a nonprofit organization that provides new, unused pieces of luggage to children in foster and shelter care so they don’t have to move from one location to another with their personal belongings in trash bags. The 6th Annual Show and Shrine takes place Saturday at the Al Azhar Mounted Patrol Grounds in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome at the event, from vintage to rods to special interest. The show will feature a swap meet, vendors, concessions, a beer garden, children’s attractions, a silent auction and 50/50 drawings. All proceeds will benefit the Shriners Activities Transportation fund, which helps children with hospital care. Last year’s event attracted more than 300 vehicles.
