Manufacturers, clubs and community organizations are hosting car shows and swap meets that offer shops the opportunity to show off builds, meet new customers and support great causes. NSRA presents the Southwest Street Rod Nationals Plus Thursday Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. Registration opens Thursday and is followed by a cruise-in during the evening. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will feature commercial exhibits, special vehicle displays, seminars, safety inspections and a swap meet. Friday will also includes the Rodders’ Parade and a cruise-in. The 19th Annual Open Car Show takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Boerne, Texas. The “Get Your Kicks on Route 66 Dinner” takes place Friday night and features a live band. Activities scheduled for Saturday include the car show, awards presentation, raffle drawings and a happy hour/dinner on Saturday night. The 9th Annual Chrome in the Dome indoor classic car and truck show takes place Friday and Saturday in Eagar, Arizona. Over 125 classic cars and trucks are expected to be on display inside the first high school dome built in the nation, according to show organizers. Registration and check-in take place Friday, and there will be a barbecue and ice cream for participants. The car show takes place Saturday, with vehicles being judged in 20 classes. Corvettes of Bakersfield’s 16th Annual Gambler’s Classic takes place Friday and Saturday at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. The 1st Semi-Annual Import/Domestic Swap Meet Expo takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Hampton Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia. The indoor event will feature import and domestic vendors selling and trading new and used performance parts. A car show will take place outside of the expo, and first-, second- and third-place prizes and trophies will be awarded in import and domestic classes. Cruising for a Cure V takes place Saturday at the Denver United Methodist Church in Denver, North Carolina. The show is open to cars, trucks and motorcycles, and benefits Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. The Wildhorses Open Car & Truck Show takes place Saturday at the Winn-Dixie in Walker, Louisiana.
