Car shows, cruises and other events are taking place around the country this weekend that give retailers the opportunity to show off their latest builds, connect with new and support local charities. AutoRama comes to the South Town Expo Center in Salt Lake City this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The event will feature a collection of some of the country’s finest hot rods, customs and motorcycles competing for over $20,000 in cash and trophies in 22 classes. AutoRama will also feature a vintage race cars display, the Pinstriper Panel Jam & Charity Auction, a Utah Salt Flats Racing Association exhibit, BMX freestyle stunt shows, and special guest appearances. World of Wheels stops by the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The event will feature a selection of America’s finest rods, customs, trucks and motorcycles competing for over $45,000 in cash and merchandise in 23 classes. The Legend Cup will also be awarded at the show to recognize workmanship, degree of difficulty, engineering and detailing in a vehicle displayed for the first time at the event. The show will also feature Meguiar’s Car Care Tips seminars, the Bigfoot Monster Truck Car Crush, the Chicago Brushmaster pinstripers’ charity auction, the Anger Management Street Extreme Freestyle Show and special guest appearances. The Collector Cars of Fort Lauderdale auction takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The three-day event will feature over 400 cars up for bid, including celebrity vehicles like a 1957 Chrysler Imperial convertible once owned by Howard Hughes. The 3rd Annual Nova Cruise and CPP Shop Tour takes place Saturday at Classic Performance Products’ Anaheim, California, headquarters. The event drew over 70 Novas last year and this year CPP is hoping to break the world record for most Novas gathered in one place for a 10-mile cruise. The Saratoga Automobile Museum hosts Beer & Burgers Saturday in Saratoga Springs, New York. Attendees will have the chance to sample regional craft brews and burgers from Lily and Rose caterers, which will be served by the Albany All Stars Roller Derby, while checking out vehicles on display in the museum’s East Coast Rods and Racing in New York exhibits. The Texas Hoedown takes place Saturday at Albert Sallas Park in New Caney, Texas.
