The East Coast Indoor Nationals pre-1973 all-American car and custom motorcycle show takes place Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Timonium, Maryland. The event will feature 300 of the region’s antiques, street rods, customs, muscle cars, hot rods, nostalgia drag cars and custom motorcycles competing for $7,000 in cash awards. Prizes will be presented for Best Display, Best Paint, Best Street Rod, Best Custom, Best Muscle Car, Best Traditional Rod, Best Antique, Best Interior, Best Hot Rod, Best Nostalgia Drag Car, Promoter’s Pick, Additional Sponsor Picks, Best Custom Motorcycle and the Young American Rodder Award for competitors age 25 and under. The Raleigh Classic 2010 auction takes place Friday and Saturday in Raleigh, North Carolina. A special preview for registered bidders will take place Thursday. George Cross & Sons presents The West Coast’s Largest Antique Auto, Corvette, Porsche, Street Rod and Volkswagen Swap Meet and Car Show Sunday in Pomona, California. The Severed in the South Custom Car & Truck Show takes place Sunday in Phoenix. Over 75 awards will be presented at the event featuring classes for everything from mini trucks to hot rods, bikes, low riders and late-model muscle cars. “Best of” trophies will be presented for best paint, engine, interior, suspension and audio. The event will also include the Severed Ties Olympics, which puts all car clubs against each other to crown best club of the show, air and hydraulic demonstrations, and dragging contests.
