Top Industry Builders to Create Pinewood Race Cars for Charity

May 30, 2012

Jesse Greening, the 2012 Golden Builder Award winner, is one of several of the industry’s top builders who will be creating a miniature custom car to race in the annual SEMA Pinewood Drag Races, to be held July 27 in Pomona, California.

Greening, Troy Ladd, Troy Trepanier, Dave Lane, Rich Evans and Tim Strange have signed on to create custom cars for the event.

Following the race, the cars will be auctioned off on eBay to benefit the Childhelp and Victory Junction children’s charities as part of the HRIA Builder’s Challenge.

Before being auctioned, the custom miniature cars will be on display at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Oct. 30-Nov. 2, 2012.

The SEMA Pinewood Drag Races will be held in conjunction with the annual SEMA Installation Banquet & Gala Fundraiser, which will take place at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Convention Center in Pomona, California.
