The Goodguys 23rd Pacific Northwest Nationals takes place Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center in Puyallup, Washington. The event will feature drag races, vendor and manufacturer exhibits, a model and pedal car show, a pinstripers brush bash, a swap meet, and Cars for Sale Corral. There will also be a kick-off party, barbecue and poker run Thursday, and a TGIF party Friday. The show is open to customs and classic through 1972, and special awards will be presented in the 2010 Kustom of the Year Finalist, 2010 Muscle Car of the Year Finalist, Gazette Pick, Morrison’s Builder’s Choice Awards and Street Rodder Top 100 Event categories. The Sixth Annual Telegraph Tomorrow Classic Car Cruise takes place Saturday in the communities of Taylor, Dearborn Heights, Dearborn and Redford Township, Michigan. Various local businesses and organizations will be selling food and drinks throughout the day. Car displays, contests, entertainment and other activities will take place along the cruise route, as well as fundraisers. The event will be raising money for Camp Yes I Can, the St. Alfred Youth Group and St. Alfred Youth Ministries. Taylor firefighters will participate in the annual Fill the Boot fund-raising campaign to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The 22nd Annual Mopars at the Red Barns takes place Saturday at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The all-Chrysler car show and swap meet is sponsored by the Western Michigan Mopar Club, and is open to all Dodge, Plymouth, Desoto, Chrysler and Imperial vehicles. Last year, over 70 awards were presented in 25 classes including spectator’s choice, club participation, long distance and best of show. The event will also feature live music and food. The SEMA Show ‘n Shine takes place Saturday in Pasadena, California. Awards will be given in several categories and the winners of the People’s Choice and Participants’ Choice awards will receive four nights’ hotel accommodations and their vehicles displayed at the 2010 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in November. Designer Chip Foose will serve as the Show ‘n Shine’s grand marshal. The event will also feature the Pinewood Drag Races. The 3rd Annual Rod & Custom Nationals takes place Saturday and Sunday in Marlboro, Massachusetts. The show is open to pre-1976 classics, kustoms, hot rods, muscle cars, low-riders, vans, VWs, motorcycles and trikes. The event will feature vendors, live entertainment, artists, family games, a tiki surf pool party, food, and tattoo, hula hoop and hand jive contests. The 17th Annual San Dimas Shine It! Show It! Cruise It! takes place Sunday in San Dimas, California. Hosted by the nonprofit San Dimas Sheriff’s Boosters, the event will feature a variety of classic, vintage, collectibles, street rods, full size trucks, special interest and motorcycles. The 16th Annual People’s Choice Car Show takes place at WyoTech’s Long Beach, California, campus on Sunday. The car show, presented by the SouthBay Mustang Owners Club, is open to all years, makes and models of vehicles.
