Car show season is in full swing. Here are a few events your shop can attend this weekend to show of your best work and connect with potential customers.
The 2010 Corvette Beach Odyssey takes place Friday and Saturday at Pier Park in Panama City Beach, Florida. The event, which benefits Taunton’s Children’s Home, runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Sponsor-choice trophies will be presented at this Corvette-only event, which also features a DJ, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and door prizes.

The NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series Sportsman Shootout takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Auto Club Dragway at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Admission for each day is $20. Friday is a racers-only test-and-tune day from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Racing starts at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Western Street Rod Nationals Plus takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield, California. Only vehicles of 1980 and earlier manufacture will be accepted for participation and/or entry to event, and all vehicles will be subject to year-of-manufacture verification. Pre-registration is required and registration opens at noon Wednesday at the Doubletree Hotel. Event hours are Friday and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Fun Under the Sun Manufacturer Display and Handcrafted Car Show takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the NHRA Museum in Pomona, California. Presented by the Association of Handcrafted Automobiles (AHA), the event will include the presentation of over 70 trophies to replicas, kit cars, exotics, one-of-a-kind automobiles and component cars. The event will conclude with a dinner hosted by the AHA at the NHRA Museum at 5 p.m.
