Spring Holiday Weekend Car Shows & Events Roundup

As some kids around the country are enjoying late Spring Break vacations, families are gathering to celebrate Passover and Easter. Car clubs and community organizations are hosting car shows and events this weekend that will no doubt draw hot rod families that will want to check out your latest projects. Here’s information on 10 such events being held around the country this weekend that will provide you the opportunity to show off your work, meet new customers and support worthy causes. The 2nd Annual WOSC Aggie Club Hot Rod & Classic Car Show & Family Easter Egg Hunt takes place Saturday at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma. Judging will take place between 2 and 4 p.m. The egg hunt will take place at 3 p.m., and awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m. The event will also feature an appearance by the Easter Bunny, face painting, live music and games. The 4th Annual Huntington Beach Cruise-In takes place Saturday at the Huntington Beach Pier in Southern California. Presented by Factory Five Racing, the event will feature the Moment of Thunder, where all present will be asked to start and rev their engines at once in tribute to friends who are longer with us. The 8th Annual Retro Blast Cruise & Tunes takes place Saturday at Yesterday’s in Bridgeport, Texas. Trophies will be presented at the event, which will also include activities for kids, prizes and music. Proceeds will benefit Yesterday’s Student Scholarship Fund. For more information, click here.

The 10th Annual Halls Crossroads Car Show takes place Saturday in Knoxville, Tennessee. Trophies will be presented in 11 categories. The Back to the Drive-In Classic Car & Cycle Show takes place Saturday at the Sonic Drive-In in Florence, South Carolina. Trophies will be presented at the afternoon event for the top two in each of 24 classes. Donations of cash and toys will be accepted for Toys for Tots at the event. The Bracketstars High School Drags Car Show, Racing School & Pit Party takes place Saturday at Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington. High schoolers can learn the basics of ET-style bracket racing at the event. Trophies will be presented at the car show. The first bracket race of the year will also take place at the event. The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, hosts its Bunny Brunch this Saturday. The event will feature Easter-themed arts and crafts, games, and an Easter egg hunt. The Roger Miller Benefit Car & Motorcycle Show takes place Saturday at Virginia College in Macon, Georgia. Awards will be presented in five car, truck and motorcycle categories. The Wine & Roses Festival takes place Saturday in Bryan, Texas. The event, which is “centered on the celebration of spring and the blooming of roses and grapes,” according to organizers, will feature a car show open to classic cars, muscle cars, rat rods, street trucks, lowriders, sports cars and under-construction vehicles. The festival will also feature wine tastings, food, a grape stomping competition, wine education sessions, cooking demonstrations and live music.
