Mar 13, 2013

The Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas (SPESA) will host the third edition of its conference titled “Advancements in Manufacturing Technology” (AMT) on March 19 at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel in Anaheim, Calif.

Held in conjunction with the Techtextil North America Show, the full-day conference will feature information and concise presentations on a wide range of sewn products spreading, cutting, sewing and other shop floor solutions and methodologies available to sewn products manufacturers.

“We pack as much value as possible into this one-day session,” said Dave Gardner, SPESA managing director. “Attendees can look forward to gaining a greater understanding of available technologies and how to get the most out of their shop floor investments. All presentations are educational and non-commercial in nature and will allow ample time for audience questions and collaboration.”

Topics and speakers from SPESA member companies slated for the conference include: “Overview of Spreading and Cutting” presented by Mel Berzack, president of Sewn Products Equipment Co.; “The Integrated Cutting Room” presented by Paul Epperson, vice president of manufacturing sales for Lectra; “Automatic Cutting: Rise to the Challenge” presented by Dudley Fenn, director of global sales for Gerber Technology; and more.

Event registration also includes an end-of-day Industry Networking Reception and a three-day pass for the Techtextil Exhibit Floor and food court.

Professionals from apparel, industrial, military and other sewn products segments are invited to learn more or register for the event at http://www.spesa.org.
