It has been just about two weeks since the dust has settled at the M1 Concourse following the Speed Ring 2017. The motorsports competition festival, which was located only miles from Motovicity’s headquarters, still has the time attack racing community abuzz, according to the Madison Heights, Michigan-based distributor.

With 50-plus racers, 40-plus manufacturers, and many in attendance over the two-day event, the Speed Ring continues to make a name for itself as a growing grassroots automotive event, according to Motovicity.

The diverse lot of vehicles, both on the track and in the car show, were prime examples of the evolution and inclusiveness throughout this time attack and touge-style based competition. In addition to the daytime excitement, Motovicity put an emphasis on hospitality with concierges, VIP lounges, catering, and an exclusive industry only after-hours soiree giving customers, racers, and manufacturers the ability to network while having a great time.

“The Speed Ring delivered an amazing opportunity to connect with jobbers and other manufacturers in a relaxed and fun environment,” said Albert Reda, Vibrant’s director of sales and marketing in a message following the event. “The high stakes Time Attack and touge-style shootout is entertaining and offers the perfect showcase for our brand and product. The Vibrant Performance team looks forward to participating in the Speed Ring 2018.”

Motovicity Distribution has set out to expand on their Speed Ring event for 2018 by adding more entertainment, vendors, sponsorship options, awards, and upping the purse for individual and overall winners.

Motovicity’s idea and essence of the Speed Ring, first and foremost, is to bring their customers, racers, partnering manufacturers, and the media together, according to the company.

“Thank you to the Speed Ring for putting on an incredible event and taking drivers inputs into consideration. Thank you to Motovicity Distribution, yet again, for giving me the chance to be the ‘Ultimate Badass’, and thank you to the M1 Concourse for having such a beautiful facility”, said Richard Boake, Can Jam Motorsports driver and the overall winner of the 2017 Speed Ring.
