Shops Get on the Air with Captn Bob & Arlo

Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio is a radio show and podcast that’s helped shops in several states get the word out about their talents. Show hosts Captn Bob and Arlo are well-known in Wisconsin for pumping extra energy into the collector car industry. Their show is aired live on Milwaukee’s FONZ FM 107.3/100.7 and AM 1290 radio stations. It’s also available in podcast form on Stitcher, and can be found by searching the iPhone and Android podcast apps.

Captn Bob and Arlo host their show at many car events where they have done live interviews with celebrities and industry figures like Henry Winkler, Jo Coddington, K.C. Mathieu, Mike and Jim Ring of RingBrothers, Jay Leno, Dave Kindig, Stacey David, Wayne Carini, and many others.

Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio is the state’s first and only radio show dedicated to gearheads, pin-up doves, flame-throwing hot rods, drag strip tire smoking, chromed out wheels, B-side jukebox treasures and a celebration of the funky history of car clubs.

Captn Bob and Arlo have also made broadcasts from the SEMA Show, the PRI Show, and the Muscle Car and Corvette Nats in Rosemont, Illinois. Many restoration shop owners, parts suppliers and fabricators have also sat down at the mic with the duo. Their photographer, Richie, is at all events with his Energizer Bunny camera, too. Richie’s goal is always to take a photo of every vehicle at a show.

Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio also brings people in the automotive market together. Captn’ Bob and Arlo joined in a fight to protect specialty-car owners’ legislative rights in Wisconsin. They have also supported hundreds of nonprofit causes over the years and helped organize dozens of meetings with car club leaders to preserve their history. The show has helped put several shops and their owners on the map.

Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio is affiliated with the Discovery and Velocity channels, so its influence reaches beyond Wisconsin. Shop with something unique or a good story to tell can get in touch with Captn Bob and Arlo through their website.
