The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund is offering subsidies of up to $4,000 to students interested in automobile aftermarket careers.
Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $2,000, with $4,000 going to a top student, according to a SEMA news release.
Assistance is available for career paths in the automotive industry including restyling, sales/marketing, technicians, transportation, accounting, administration, design/graphics, engineering, information technology, photo/journalism and race car driver/crew.
A full-tuition scholarship, valued up to $29,400, will be awarded to a current attendee of Ohio Technical College (OTC).
Eligible students must currently be enrolled in a full-time program of study at an accredited university, college or vocational/technical program in the United States.
Current students and recent graduates can apply at www.sema.org/scholarships through March, 29, 2013.
Scholarship winners will be notified in the summer of 2013.
In addition, the SEMA Loan Forgiveness Program offers $1,000 awards toward outstanding student loans for individuals employed by SEMA member companies to help recent graduates get off to a successful start in their aftermarket careers.
