Russo and Steele has announced a collaboration with Edelbrock‘s Rev’ved Up 4 Kids Charity in support of The Center for Learning Unlimited, a program that helps children with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome reconnect to their academic, social and emotional potential.
Russo and Steele has an entire program dedicated to raising awareness and funds during its 12th Annual “Sports and Muscle in Monterey” auction event Aug. 16-18.
The fundraising will begin with a charity auction on Thursday, Aug. 16 prior to the automobiles crossing the auction block.
In addition to the charity auction, Russo and Steele has dubbed Friday, Aug. 17, as “Edelbrock Day” and has pledged to provide $5 from each general admission ticket bought at the door to Rev’ved Up 4 Kids.
On Friday, Christi and Vic Edelbrock, Rich Evans and Von Hot Rod will be onsite to sign autographs.
“We are so very blessed to have the overwhelming support for our initiatives,” said Christi Edelbrock, vice president of business development, and founder of Rev’ved Up 4 Kids, said in a statement released by Russo and Steele. “With our passion, hard work and determination, we have continued raising money to support children across many venues. Our goal is to expand our focus, further engage our community, sponsors and partners to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation; Russo and Steele is a perfect partner to help us achieve these goals.”
“Edelbrock Day” will also feature a demonstration by the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge, a national competition where teams of high school students compete against each other and the clock in taking apart and reassembling a small-block Chevy engine.
Additionally Ohio Technical College and The Edelbrock Performance Academy will be on hand giving live airbrush and custom paint demonstrations and hands-on instruction.
MEGG, a finalist from NBC’s “The Voice,” will provide live entertainment.
