Presidents Day Weekend Car Shows & Events Roundup

This long weekend will feature a number of car shows and events that will offer your shop the opportunity to show off your latest builds, compete for awards, talk with future customers and support local charities, including AutoRama and World of Wheels events in Calgary, Dallas and Milwaukee. The Dallas AutoRama takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Dallas Market Hall. The event will feature hot rods, customs trucks and motorcycles competing for over $30,000 in cash and awards in categories including Best Rod, Best Custom, Outstanding Competition and Outstanding Restored. The event will also feature special vehicle displays, Meguiar’s Car Care Tips, the Pinstriper Panel Jam & Charity Auction to benefit the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, a burnout contest, cacklefest and celebrity appearances. World of Wheels Calgary takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the BMO Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The event will feature hot rods, customs, trucks and bikes competing for over $26,000 in cash and awards in categories including Best Club Display, Outstanding Street Machine, Best Custom and Outstanding Custom Rod. The event will also feature special vehicle displays, the “Battle of the Technicians” engine assembly race, celebrity appearances and a motorcycle stunt show. For more information, click here.

World of Wheels Milwaukee takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wisconsin. The event will feature hot rods, customs and trucks competing for over $15,000 in cash, merchandise and trophies in categories including Outstanding Restored, Outstanding Competition, Best Club Display and Best Truck. The event will also feature special vehicle displays, Meguiar’s Car Care Tips, the Pinstriping Legends Charity Auction to benefit Children’s Hospital and live entertainment. The Sacramento  Autorama takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds in Sacramento, California. The indoor car show will feature over 450 custom cars, hot rods, classics, motorcycles and specialty vehicles from around the country competing for awards including the coveted Custom d’Elegance. The event will also feature vendors, live entertainment and the Autorama Panel Jam, where pinstripers will auction off their artwork to benefit the UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Motorama takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The event will feature hundreds of show vehicles dating from the 1900s to today competing for over $20,000 in cash and prizes. Motorama will also feature arena-cross racing, go-kart racing, quarter midget racing, remote control racing, a speed show, robot conflict and vendors. For more information, click here.

The Canton Hot Rod & Custom Bike Show takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in Canton, Ohio. The event will feature vehicles competing for hundreds of trophies and cash prizes. The event will also include vendors, concessions, DJs and a special appearance by actor Tom Wopat of “Dukes of Hazard” fame. For more information, click here.

The Inaugural Cupid Ride takes place Sunday to benefit the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Heart Center. The ride begins in the morning at Chuck Franklin Law in Tempe, Arizona, and then departs to the Mammoth Saloon in Apache Junction before heading to its final destination of 910 Live in Tempe. Afterwards there will be a car and bike show, vendors, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, concessions and live music. For more information, click here.

Darryl Starbird’s 48th Annual Exotic Car Show & Monster Truck Races takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the QuikTrip Center Fairgrounds in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event will feature over 1,000 show-and-go cars competing for $20,000 in cash prizes. There will also be special vehicle displays, a fashion show, live music, panel jams, a “Legends of Pinstriping” auction and an appearance by “Dukes of Hazard” actor John Schneider with the General Lee car. The Mid-Florida Mustang Club hosts its 25th Annual Mustang & Ford Roundup Saturday at the Waterford Lakes Town Center in Orlando, Florida. The event will feature awards presented in MCA-modified judging classes and Popular Vote classes to Mustangs and Ford-powered vehicles. For more information, click here.
