Cristina Fronzaglia, manager of marketing and communications for PPG‘s Refinish division, was named the 2011 Goodguys Woman of the Year at a special ceremony held last weekend at the 14th PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio.
“[Cristina] embodies all that is good about the hot rodding industry,” said Goodguys’ John Drummond, in a statement released by the association. “Goodguys, as well as the entire automotive aftermarket, is richer for her many contributions.”
Fronzaglia started as a sales trainee at PPG and worked her way up to her current position. She acts as the “go-to” person for promoting PPG’s line of custom colors and paint systems.
“Her creativity and boundless energy as a promoter of our industry made her an easy choice for the prestigious honor,” said Drummond.
The Goodguys Woman of the Year award is presented each year to recognize a female industry executive who serves to preserve the integrity and growth of the hot rod industry.
Past recipients of the Goodguys Woman of the Year award include Jane Callison, ididit president, in 1997, Debbie Lewis, former publisher of Hotrod & Restoration, in 2003, and Jeanette Ladina, Flaming River chairman, in 2004.
