American Honda Motorcycle Division presents “Braving Baja: 1,000 Miles To Glory,” a tribute to the Baja 1000, May 2-4 at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
The Baja 1000, one of the most significant off-road races for both two and four-wheeled vehicles in the world, will be spotlighted with a tribute dinner, one-day off-road show and summer-long exhibition, according to the Petersen Museum.
The Baja Tribute Dinner on May 2 will honor racers Dave Ekins and Bill Robertson Jr. for their daring, first-timed run down the Baja peninsula with American Honda.
The tribute also will honor Parnellli Jones, a renowned racer of all genres, for his off-road racing success.
The Baja day off-road vehicle show on May 4 is included in the daily museum admission rate for spectators, and participation is open to anyone with a vehicle that is off-road capable, including trucks, buggies, motorcycles, sand rails and more.
Vendors will be on-site as well.
The “Braving Baja: 1,000 Miles To Glory” gallery exhibition will run May 4-Sept. 2.
It will feature important Baja vehicles and artifacts of all sizes including significant motorcycles, trucks, buggies and ephemera.
The never-before-seen collection of off-road racing vehicles will highlight the beginnings and evolution of the Baja 1000.
