Jul 6, 2011

The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles will host a special event this Saturday, July 9, to highlight its summer feature exhibitions.

The event, called Scooters and Supercars Day, will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the third level of the museum’s parking structure. It will feature a public exotic sports car and scooter show, how-to sessions, and detailing seminars. The event will also feature guest speaker Steve Saleen, who will talk about his S7 race and road cars, as well as his work on the Ford GT, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The latest scooters from Piaggio and Vespa will be on display at the event, as will supercars from The Auto Gallery Los Angeles, according to the museum’s website.

Scooters and Supercars Day is being held in conjunction with two of the museum’s current exhibits, “Supercars: When Too Much Is Almost Enough” and “Motor Scooters: Size Doesn’t Always Matter.”
