Petersen Museum to Host Garage Sale & Swap Meet

Nov 24, 2010

The Petersen Automotive Museum of Los Angeles has announced that it will host a Garage Sale and Swap Meet on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010.

Filling the upper floors of the Petersen Museum’s parking structure, the event will feature a mix of items from the Museum, along with a cars-for-sale corral and vendor area, according to the Museum’s website.

Vendors who are looking to sell cars, motorcycles, parts, books and other items can purchase a booth. (Due to space availability, only automotive- and motorcycle-related items will be allowed.) Vendors will receive a free admission to the Museum for Dec. 4, as well as complimentary parking.

Admission into the Garage Sale and Swap Meet is free, and the Museum has reduced its admission price to $5 for the day of the event.

The Swap Meet and Car Corral will run from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

In addition to the Car Corral, Swap Meet and Garage Sale, the Museum will also be hosting free auto detailing demonstrations by Griot’s Garage throughout the day. Detailing professionals will be on-hand to answer questions about car care.

The 5th Annual CARnival Family Fun Day will also be held at the Museum on Dec. 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will feature arts and crafts for kids and is free, as is Museum admission for kids on that day.
