Last month, HRR reported on a new law to go into effect Nov. 14 that would require businesses to display the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) poster that informs workers of their right to unionize and bargain collectively with their employer.
The NLRB announced on Oct. 5 that it would be changing the effective date of the rule to Jan. 31, 2012.
“The decision to extend the rollout period followed queries from businesses and trade organizations indicating uncertainty about which businesses fall under the board’s jurisdiction, and was made in the interest of ensuring broad voluntary compliance,” the NLBR announced in a press release. “No other changes in the rule, or in the form or content of the notice, will be made.”
