Hot Rod Book Shop Opens in Manawa, Wisconsin

Gunner’s Great Garage, a shop profiled in Hotrod & Restoration the May 2010 issue, has opened a new book shop that will specialize in selling both new and used automotive books, literature, press kits, posters and other paper collectibles, as well as toy and model cars. For July and August, the new book shop will highlight hot rod books in honor of the Symco Shakedown – a traditional hot rod show that will take place in nearby Symco, Wisconsin on August 13 and 14. Egge CEO Ernie Silvers Joins SEMA Board

SEMA has announced that Ernie Silvers, CEO of Egge Machine Co. has joined the SEMA board, replacing a departing board member from the manufacturers category. Silvers has served on the ARMO Select Committee since 2001 and acted as chair of the council from 2006-2008. He was named ARMO’s Person of the Year in 2008. He has been in the aftermarket industry for over 25 years.

FAST to Offer Fuel Injection Training Course at PRI Show

FAST (Fuel Air Spark Technology) and EFI University will be offering a one-day, eight-hour training course on Dec. 8 during the 2010 PRI Show that will cover the fundamentals of set-up and tuning with the FAST XFI Fuel Injection System. Designed for both seasoned tuners and beginners, the classes will take an in-depth look at everything from phasing the distributor to gaining advantages with the Intelligent Traction Control Feature. The class will be limited to 25 people and will be taught by EFI instructor Ben Strader, tuning guru Brian Macy and the FAST technical staff. The class registration fee is $495.
