New Year, New Offerings

Dec 31, 2010

There are many old traditions that don’t make a lot of sense these days, but one I think still has its place is considering the New Year a time for growth and renewal.

It’s important for us as people and as businesses to take stock at the end of every December-contemplate what went right and what went wrong over the past 12 months, and determine a course of direction for the coming year.

Every once in a while these retrospectives lead to dramatic readjustments. But in most years changes are usually more subtle-just a few tweaks here and there; a few new, attainable goals to make life, or the company, richer and more rewarding.

That’s the approach we’re taking into 2011 with Performance Business. After successfully fighting through the last couple of years alongside all of you, we’re eyeing some improvements that will make us a stronger company and allow us to bring you more of the information you need to run a successful aftermarket business.

The changes are designed to serve you better, and help us develop an even stronger, more beneficial relationship with our readership. Here are some of the highlights:

Subscriptions. Is improving your business and staying abreast of the latest new products and market trends worth $2 a month? That’s all it takes to become a Performance Business Premium Subscriber and enjoy all of the benefits that come with it.

Premium Subscribers who sign up for a two-year subscription for $48 are guaranteed to receive each and every issue of Performance Business, including our popular annual Buyers’ Guide and trade show issues. They also are allowed full access to this entire website-including exclusive content reserved for Premium Subscribers, and our electronic library of past issues.

Readers who choose not to sign up as Premium Subscribers will still receive periodic issues of PB throughout the year, and also access to online content. Just click on the subscription link above to get all the information and select the option that’s right for you.

Website. By the way, if you hadn’t noticed, we dramatically upgraded this website just a couple of months ago, making it easier to find the articles and information you need, while including more content and a fresh new look.

We’ve also added a new video library featuring supplier interviews that take you inside the latest new performance products. Look for even more videos in the months to come.

Daily News. Also beginning in 2011, Performance Business will be hitting your inbox Monday through Friday with brief happenings and snippets of information designed to help build your business.

Not long or complex, think of these items as daily bulletins from the performance aftermarket. They will include street performance and racing newsletters, a Q&A, Tip Jar and a weekly look at a special vehicle.

Don’t miss any of these daily messages by making sure you request this free information. Again, a link can be found on the home page.

Of course, we’ll also be focused on delivering you the exciting, colorful information you’ve come to expect in every issue of Performance Business. And we have even more irons in the fire for 2012, including a great regional trade show in Texas that we’ll be telling you more about soon.

In the meantime, these are some of the ways we’ll be growing in the New Year. After all, some traditions make too much sense not to follow!
