Events being held this weekend include the National Corvette Museum’s 18th Anniversary Celebration and Hall of Fame Induction Goodguys’ 11th Mid-Western Nationals. The 30th Annual Lead East takes place Wednesday through Sunday at the Hilton in Parsippany, New Jersey. The event will feature over 1,800 cars from the 1950s, and 34 oldies and doo-wop groups. The event will also include special guest appearances, contests, NSRA safety inspections, seminars, award presentations and raffles to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The National Corvette Museum presents the 18th Anniversary Celebration and Hall of Fame Induction Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event will feature road tours, car shows, seminars, auctions, autograph sessions, award presentations, special video presentations, a poker run, raffles and live entertainment. Goodguys presents the 11th Mid-Western Nationals Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. The event will feature more than 2,000 rods, customs, classics, street machines, muscle cars and trucks through 1972 competing for awards including 2012 Muscle Car of the Year Finalist and Dave Lane‘s Builder’s Choice Award. The event will also feature vendor and manufacturer exhibits, a swap meet, a cars-for-sale corral, a model and pedal car show, Goodguys AutoCross, and kids’ entertainment. The 2012 OK Corral Grand National takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at in Mustang, Oklahoma. The event is open to every year, model and color of Ford Mustangs and other Ford-powered vehicles. Vehicles will be judged in 18 classes. For more information, visit www.okmustangs.com.
Cruise Down 55 takes place Saturday at the Ramada Inn in Vineland, New Jersey. The event will feature a car show, a swap meet and special guest appearances. The show will feature the East Coast’s largest display of TV and movie cars, according to organizers. Proceeds will benefit the Kevin J. Snyder Memorial Foundation. The 2nd Annual Alpen Car and Bike Show takes place Saturday in Snohomish, Washington. Presented by the Snoqualmie Valley Cruisers, the show will feature cars and motorcycles competing for trophies in 29 categories. The 9th Annual Pardeeville Community Car & Truck Show takes place Saturday at Chandler Park in Pardeeville, Wisconsin. The rain-or-shine event is open to all years of domestic and import cars and trucks. Over 100 trophies will be presented in 34 classes. The 19th Annual Corvettes @ The Pier takes place Saturday in St. Petersburg, Florida.
