The 2012 Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show returns to Indianapolis but for the first time ever will be held in the Lucas Oil Stadium, home to the Colts and host of Super Bowl XLVI. Whether you’re driving or flying, here’s the information you need to get to the show. If you’re driving to the stadium, which is located at 500 S Capitol Ave. in Indianapolis, follow these directions:
From Chicago I-65 South to West Street (Exit 114). Straight (south) to South Street.
From Cincinnati I-74 West to I-465 West. Follow I-465 West to I-65 North. I-65 North to I-70 West. Exit I-70 at West Street (Exit 79A). Right (north) to South Street.
From Columbus, Ohio I-70 West to I-65 North; Follow I-65 North to West Street (Exit 114). Left (south) to South Street.
From Danville, Illinois I-74 East to I-465 South (Exit 73A). Follow I-465 South to I-70 East. Exit I-70 at West Street (Exit 79A). Left (north) to South Street.
From Fort Wayne, Indiana I-69 South to I-465. South to I-70 West (Exit 44) to I-65. North to West Street (Exit 114); Straight to South Street.
From Louisville, Kentucky I-65 North to I-70 West (Exit 110B). Exit I-70 at West Street (Exit 79A). Right (north) to South Street.
From South Bend, Indiana US 31 South to I-465 West. Follow I-465 West to I-65 South. Follow I-65 South to West Street (Exit 114). Straight (south) to South Street.
From Terre Haute, Indiana I-70 East to West Street (Exit 79A). Left (north) to South Street.
If you’re flying into the Indianapolis International Airport, there are several transportation options available to get you to downtown, including cabs, shuttles and limousines. A cab ride runs about $35. IndyGo’s Green Line Downtown/Airport Express (Route 205) offers service from the airport to 17 downtown hotels for $7 each way. Call (317) 634-3344 for more information. Once you’ve arrived at your hotel, you can use the map here to determine the best route to Lucas Oil Stadium. If you plan to drive to the stadium, the best place to park is the South Lot for $5. Entrances to the lot are on Capitol Ave (Gate No. 6) and Missouri Street (Gate No. 1). Free golf cart transportation will also be available to take show attendees and exhibitors from the Capitol Ave. entrance of the Indiana Convention Center to the entry point of Lucas Oil Stadium. Service will be provided during Education & Training Day on Thursday from 7 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
