Hot Rod Artist Bruce Tatman to Appear at 2013 HRR Show

Feb 19, 2013

Bruce Tatman of Bruce Tatman Illustrations will return to the Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show, March 14-16.

At last year’s show, Tatman did renderings of some of the display vehicles, including the 2012 Golden Builder Award-winning 1955 T-bird built by Greening Auto Co.

He also did the rendering of the 2011 Golden Builder winner, “Dragon” by Ringbrothers.

With an art and design career that spans more than 30 years, Tatman works mostly, but not exclusively, with watercolors.

His work has been featured by the NHRA, Don “Snake” Purdhomme Racing, John Force Racing, Don Schumacher Racing, The St. Louis Blues and Oxman Racing, along with numerous other sports and motorsports teams and publications.

Tatman’s work is also among the private collections of drivers, players and team drivers.

Tatman is currently a freelance artist focused on original full-color paintings, but he has experience in work ranging from logo design, print ads, billboards and copy writing to screen print apparel design and illustrations.

A native of Dayton, Ohio and the youngest of six kids, Tatman said he developed an early interest in cars from his older brothers and became a fan of drag racing by growing up during the heyday of Snake and Mongoose Hot Wheels.
