Mentor, Ohio-based graphic films manufacturer Avery Dennison recently had some of its wrap films featured in the Discovery TV reality show, “Blue Collar Backers.”
The show featured the work of an Avery Dennison customer, San Antonio, Texas-based Cruising Kitchens, whose specialty is wrapping food trucks and other mobile entertainment vehicles. In the episode featuring Avery Dennison films, Cruising Kitchens turned a retired fire truck into a mobile food palace serving sausages and draft beer for the Kiolbassa Provision Co., also out of San Antonio.
“Food trucks and mobile businesses depend so much on looks, so we pride ourselves on using the best materials to give them an edge,” says Peter Alvarez, shop manager at Cruising Kitchens. “With so many colors and textures, Avery Dennison films are the perfect finishing touch for our jobs.”
Cruising Kitchens created three wraps in all using rolls of MPI 1005 digital film and DOL 1080 matte overlaminate. (Those two lines have since been replaced by the “new and improved” MPI 1105 and DOL 1080Z, respectively, Avery Dennison says.)
