Easter Weekend Car Shows & Events Roundup

A number of car shows and events are being held this Easter Weekend to give shops a chance to show off their best work, connect with new customers and support local organizations. Details on 10 such events, including Barrett-Jackson’s 10th Annual Collector Car Auction and the 28th Annual Nostalgic Indoor Invitational Car Show, are listed below. Barrett-Jackson’s 10th Annual Collector Car Auction takes place Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the South Florida Fairgrounds in Palm Beach, Florida. Highlights of the auction include a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham four-door sedan, 1958 Chevy Impala convertible, a 1956 Ford F-100 custom pickup truck and a 1959 Chevy Corvette custom convertible. Cruisin the Peterpank Diner kicks off Friday in South Amboy, New Jersey. The cruise is open to classic cars, trucks and custom cars and motorcycles. The cruise will feature a DJ, kids’ games, door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, concessions and trophy presentations. Proceeds will benefit The Camp Dill Foundation and the Sayreville Association for Brain-Injured Children. Cruises will be hosted at the diner every Friday night through Sept. 21. The 3rd Annual Car & Bike Show takes place Saturday at The Lodge at Copperhead in Blairsville, Georgia. Cash, trophies and prizes will be awarded. Woods Performance Tuning will do dyno testing throughout the day and the show will feature live music and concessions. The lodge’s pool will be open throughout the day for car show attendees. The 16th Annual Catfish Festival Car Show takes place Saturday in Crescent City, Florida. The event will feature awards presentations, a DJ, live music, prizes and giveaways. The car show is held in conjunction with the 34th Annual Catfish Festival, a two-day event hosted by the Rotary Club of Crescent City that raises money for scholarships. The 28th Annual Nostalgic Indoor Invitational Car Show takes place Saturday at the East Peoria Events Center at the Oaks in East Peoria, Illinois. The event will feature antique cars, street rods, special interest vehicles, customs, trucks, classics, bicycles and motorcycles. A Classic Car Show will be held Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Lamar, South Carolina, as part of the Lamar Egg Scramble Jamboree. The car show is open to street rods, modified cars, Corvettes, modified trucks, production cars, production muscle cars and trucks, Camaros, Firebirds, Thunderbirds and Mustangs. The Halls Crossroads Car Show takes place Saturday in Knoxville, Tennessee. The show is open to all vehicles, including antiques, hot rods, customs, trucks and motorcycles. Trophies will be presented for Best in Show, Band Director’s Choice, Best Paint, Best Motor, Best Interior, Best Unfinished, Top 3 Classic and Original, Top 3 Imports, Top 3 Trucks, Best Student Ride, and Top 3 Motorcycles. Lake C. Speed Jr. of Joe Gibbs Racing will host a free seminar on the proper oil to use in collector cams with flat tappet camshafts Saturday at Gunner’s Great Garage in Manawa, Wisconsin. Speed, the general manager of Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil, is a certified lubrication specialist and a member of the Society of Tribologists & Lubrication Engineers. The Rockwood Thunder Road Festival Car Show takes place Saturday in Rockwood, Tennessee. The show is open to all cars and trucks, and first-, second- and third-place trophies will be presented for each class and in special categories. There will also be vendors at the car show. Proceeds from the rain-or-shine car show will benefit the Rockwood Merchants Association and the Rockwood Animal Shelter.
