Billy Longfellow, vice president of design and engineering for Airdesign USA, took a stock 2016 Ford F-150 and turned it into a thing of beauty, according to Ford Motor Co. The carmaker honored the build, which was housed in its giant Central Hall booth at the SEMA Show, with the Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Achievement in Design.
"To compete against Ford's 28 elite project vehicle builders from all over North America and win design awards for 10 years and counting is the ultimate feeling," Longfellow said.
The winning F-150 included a custom Airdesign USA trim package with a front bumper guard, hood scoop, fender flares, fender vents, door moldings, rear tailgate appliqué and spoiler. Other customizations included a Roadwire interior, Pace Edwards tonneau cover, and Fuel 20-inch, two-piece Cleaver rims with 33-inch Fuel mud gripper Mickey Thompson tires.
